Postdoctoral Scientist
£25,368 – £27,503 per annum
The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is a world famousinstitution with a strong track record in training postdoctoral fellowswho have gone on to become leading scientists.
We are looking for a postdoctoral scientist to join Dr Roger Williams’multi-disciplinary research programme, focusing on the biogenesis ofmultivesicular endosomes in lysosomal sorting.
You will join the LMB’s Protein and Nucleic Acid Chemistry Division,where we have broad expertise extending from X-ray crystallography andchemical biology through to transgenic animals. We also have anexcellent record of innovative basic research leading to applications in medicine.
You will make a significant contribution to a research programme thatwill unravel the biogenesis of the multivesicular body and reconstitutethis organelle in vitro. Previous experience with X-ray crystallography,protein chemistry, biophysical methods and cell biology are desirable.You will be awarded a 2.5 year MRC Career Development Fellowship, whichis a training and development position for a postdoctoral scientist whohas recently completed her or his doctoral studies or is moving into anew research discipline.
Your salary is supported by a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days’annual leave entitlement, an optional MRC final salary pension schemeand excellent on site sports and social facilities.
