Description
The successful candidate will be based in the National BiophotonicsImaging Platform (NBIPI,
www.NBIPIreland.ie) Image Processing & Analysis Facility. This iswill be located in the Centre for Image
Processing and Analysis (www.cipa.dcu.ie), Dublin City University (DCU).
This research stream will involve the development of robust shape andtexture based image
segmentation techniques for use in computer aided detection anddiagnostic cardiovascular
biology (with a focus on ultrasound imaging [ITC-1, DP5]).
You will also be responsible for the research supervision and managementof a PhD student. This role will also involve teaching/tutorial supportwithin the CIPA education elements of the NBIPI.
