This position is eligible for a $500 Employee Referral Bonus consistentwith the University policy.
The Department of Anesthesiology is seeking a Postdoctoral Associatewith a medical doctorate degree. This person will be involved in bothclinical and basic research. The patient population in Miami is verydiverse. We are seeking a candidate with excellent English and Spanishcommunication skills to interact with our heterogenous population.Additionally, candidate will deal with numerous research sites locatedin other parts of the US and, most likely, in foreign countries,particularly in South America. A strong working knowledge of the healthsystems in Latin America will prove useful. Candidate should have astrong interest in clinical research and anesthesiology with an emphasison pain syndromes. Projects related to the genitourinary tract andhypothermia in the perioperative setting will also be addressed.Candidate should be familiar with related issues.
Responsibilities include assisting in the management of pharmaceuticalresearch studies. Contribute to research activities associated with thecollection of patient data and computer analysis. Participates towardscientific publications. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D or M.D. degreeor be a candidate for such with an expected completions date before thestart of training appointment. Must have five years of prior experiencewithin clinical research. Candidate should have experience with patientsin the post-operative period. The candidate should have a thoroughunderstanding of all aspects of basic medicine and patient care. Anappropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/orcertifications will be considered.
