Description
A post-doctoral position is immediately available for a highly motivatedindividual to study the molecular basis of inflammation and tissueregeneration following a burn injury. Single cell / molecule imaging,live cell imaging, kinase assays, transfection, siRNA techniques, andgeneration of transgenic mouse models are being used to elucidate therelationship between the PI3K signaling pathway and the response toburn. Candidates with PhDs in any field are encouraged to apply providedthey have a comprehensive range of technical skills in biochemistry/cellbiology/molecular biology. The successful candidate will beself-motivated, productive and fluent in spoken and written English. TheUniversity of Texas Medical Branch offers competitive salaries, medicaland dental benefits, retirement savings plans, and vacations/holidays.The opportunity for advancement to faculty track within 2-3 years existsfor candidates who become successful team members with our group.
