Funded positions are available in the Shen laboratory to investigate themolecular mechanisms of pattern formation and cellular differentiationin mouse embryonic development and how these processes are disruptedduring cancer progression. Successful applicants will pursue studies inareas that include: 1) Cell-type specification and axis patterning inmouse embryogenesis, focusing on TGF-beta signaling pathways and stemcell differentiation, and 2) Prostate organogenesis, regeneration, andcarcinogenesis in mouse models, focusing on the roles of prostateepithelial stem cells. Expertise in developmental biology, stem cellbiology, imaging, and/or cancer research is highly desirable.
