Our group, located in Biomedicum Helsinki (www.biomedicum.fi) at medicalcampus of University of Helsinki (www.helsinki.fi), is studying thegenetics of celiac disease using large European patient and familycohorts, as well as the immunopathogenetic mechanisms of this diseaseand its risk genes at cellular and molecular levels.
Our EU/Marie Curie funded project (CD-GENETICS, MEXT-025270) has animmediate opening of a post-doctoral level lab visit of at least 8months. The candidate must have a strong background on cell/molecularbiological or immunological studies on celiac disease and experience onmouse models is advantageous. Biomedicum Helsinki is rich in variouscore facilities to perform effective and multidisciplinary research.
Salary 3160-3700 €/month monthly mobility allowance 579-927€ annualtravel allowance 250-2500€.
The candidates should send their CV, names of 1-3 referees and a shortdescription of their current research project and how it would link tothe work performed in Helsinki, by 28th of May, 2008.
