Description
Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in a launching laboratoryled by Prof. Seungpyo Hong in the Department of BiopharmaceuticalSciences at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). Thenewly-renovated first-class laboratory is located within the UIC collegeof pharmacy that is in the heart of the Illinois Medical District, whichincludes the UIC Medical Center, College of Medicine, the UIC Hospital,and other health science colleges. We seek a scientist with primary interest in targeted drug deliveryand/or cell specific capturing using polymeric materials, particularlyfor anti-cancer treatments. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D.in polymer science, materials science and engineering, bioengineering,chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences or other relevantdiscipline. Experience in polymer chemistry and/or cancer research willbe considered an advantage. The successful candidate must have excellentcommunication skills and be able to work independently and as part of ateam.
