Description
Postdoctoral positions are available for experienced cell/molecularbiologists to join our team investigating novel signaling mechanismscombining cellular studies and genetic approaches in mice. We currentlyhave openings in the following 2 projects:
1) Regulation of cortical GABAergic interneuron development and functionby GDNF and GFRa1 signaling, utilizing histological and functionalanalyses of transgenic and mutant mice. Experience in nervous systemdevelopment and mouse genetics will be important for consideration tothis position.
2) Activation and signal transduction mechanisms of the p75 neurotrophinreceptor, combining site-directed mutagenesis, signaling assays andfunctional approaches in cell lines and primary tissue culture.Experience in molecular biology, intracellular signaling and neuronalculture will be important for consideration to this position.
The laboratory is located amid other 10 high-profile groups of theStrategic Center in Developmental Biology for Regenerative Medicine(www.dbrm.se), one of the most vibrant and productive researchenvironments in Scandinavia.
Funding is available for an initial period of 2 years, starting any timeduring 2008.
