Description
We look for a highly motivated and committed postdoctoral scientist tojoin our team in the isolation and identification of natural compounds.The successful candidate should bring the following qualifications:
· PhD degree preferably in Pharmacy, also graduates in Chemistry,Biology or another field strongly related to pharmaceutical biology are welcome
· Experience in phytochemistry (analytics, isolation, structureelucidation of natural compounds, quality assessment of drugs etc.)
· Special attention will be paid on practical experience in massspectrometry of plant secondary metabolites with ESI, APCI, single andtriple quad as well as ion trap MS.
· Experience in teaching (practical training in pharmacognosy/pharmaceutical biology, microbiology)
· Perfect German
· Good organisational skills
· Ability to work in a team
The applicant will be involved in the supervision of diploma students,PhD students and technicians. He should be creative, establish his ownfocus of research and acquire project funding.
We offer well-equipped laboratories, scope for scientific developmentand a positive atmosphere.
The position is available immediately and funded for 6 years. Theopportunity to obtain “Habilitation” or an equivalent qualification isgiven. It will be announced at the homepage of the University of Vienna(http://www.univie.ac.at/personal-mitteilungsblatt) within the next weeks.
