Applications are invited for a one-year fixed term contract position asa Researcher in Diabetes and Women’s Health within the Diabetes andEndocrine Services of Galway University Hospitals and NationalUniversity of Ireland Galway. The research focus relates in particularto diabetic pregnancy and pre-pregnancy care.
The post holder will be responsible for the day to day coordination andmanagement of the clinical research activity in the proposed area.Within the remit of this post, the successful candidate will manage acaseload of patient’s participating in research projects. They will alsosupport the on-going development of clinical research in line with thedevelopment of the diabetes services. He/She will maintain the higheststandards of care, taking into account the different social and cultural needs.
The Researcher will be responsible for the day to day running ofclinical projects under the supervision of Dr. F. Dunne, Department ofMedicine, NUI Galway. Applicants for this post should hold a medicalqualification and be within or have completed General Professional Training.
Starting date: 1st July 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Salary: €39,588 (point 1 of the postdoctoral researcher salary scale)
