A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. AdrieBruijnzeel in the McKnight Brain Institute at the University of Florida.The position is funded by a FAMRI research grant. This research projectfocuses on investigating the long-term effects of tobacco smoke exposureon the positive and negative reinforcing effects of nicotine in rats.The Bruijnzeel-lab is located in the McKnight Brain Institute(http://www.mbi.ufl.edu). The MBI houses state of the art researchfacilities and provides ample opportunities for collaborations.
This position requires a PhD in neuroscience, neuropharmacology, or aclosely related field. The ideal candidate will have extensiveexperience with animal models of drug addiction. Preference will begiven to candidates with a track record of peer-reviewed publications,experience with rat surgeries, behavioral testing, and basic histology.
