Location: University of Lund, Sweden invites applications for onepostdoctoral position (2 years will possibility of extension) in thelaboratory of Assistant Professor Joanne Attema in the Department ofExperimental Medical Science, Lund Stem Cell Center(http://www.stemcellcenter.se) and Hemato-Linne Program(http://www.med.lu.se/hemato_linne). The positions are scheduled tostart as soon as possible.
Description: The successful candidates will conduct research onepigenetic control of hematopoietic stem cells and early fate decisions.The latest innovative tools including miniaturized ChIP-chip, DNAmethylation analysis, microRNA and shRNA approaches and the extensiveuse of mouse models will be utilized in order to address our variousquestions focusing on the molecular and cellular understanding of blooddisorders. Refer to the following publications (Attema et al., 2007 PNASand Pronk et al., 2007 Cell Stem Cell).
Qualifications: Highly motivated, talented individuals pursuing a careerin life sciences are encouraged to apply. An interest and knowledge inmolecular biology, stem cell biology and/or bioinformatics is required.It will be an advantage if the candidates have experience in fields ofchromatin biology and bioinformatics.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience based on theLund University Employment Conditions.
