Post doctoral research position: structural biology of neurotransmitter transporters

We hereby invite applications for a two-year post-doctoral research position starting as soon as possible in Molecular Neuropharmacology Group, Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Copenhagen, The position is funded by the EU FP7 collaborative project EDICT (European Drug Initiative on Channels and Transporters) involving 28 different partners within the EU.

The present project will focus on structure determination, conformational dynamics and inhibitor design in mammalian neurotransmitter transporters and their bacterial homologues. The project will involve close collaboration with other members of the EDICT consortium.

Highly motivated candidates with a PhD in molecular biology, molecular pharmacology, protein chemistry or related fields are encouraged to apply. We expect a skilled, open-minded candidate capable of working independently as well as in a collaborative research group.

We offer a young, dynamic and international research environment in a group counting 15-20 people working on the structure, molecular pharmacology and cellular biology of neurotransmitter transporters and associated proteins.

The position is covered by the terms of the collective agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
