Postdoctoral Scientist
£27,466 – £33,780 pa
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a postdoctoral scientist to jointhe Islet Transplant Research Group. This post is funded by the recentcommissioning by the National Commissioning Group of Oxford as one ofthe 2 clinical islet isolation facilities in the UK.
The successful candidate will be based in the DRWF Human Islet IsolationFacility at the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, andMetabolism (OCDEM), and will be part of the Human Islet Isolation Team.They will be expected to undertake and develop a research project ineither islet isolation, post islet transplant monitoring, or isletdevelopmental biology.
It would be desirable if applicants had previous practical experience ofhuman islet isolation. Applicants should also have some experience ofpancreatic-related research at postdoctoral level.
Available immediately, this full-time post is funded for 1 year in thefirst instance.
