Department of Immunobiology
This Post Doctoral Research Associate position is located at Guy’sHospital in the Department of Immunobiology (DIIID).
The post will be in the laboratory of Dr Deborah Dunn-Walters and willfocus on B cell responses to pneumococcal polysaccharide (PPS) vaccinein old age. Specifically, the project will involve using moleculartechniques to look for predictors of vaccine responses, and toinvestigate the B cell repertoire and affinity maturation in the PPS response.
The successful applicant will need a PhD or equivalent qualification ina biological discipline with evidence of publications in internationallyregarded scientific journals. They will ideally have a molecularbackground with experience in techniques such as PCR, cloning, cell culture.
The salary will be offered at Grade 6 £29,138 plus £2,323 LondonAllowance per annum. This position is full-time for 36 months.
