“Industrial biomimetic water membrane”
Do you want to help develop innovative and environmentally friendlywater purification technologies for the future?
The Department of Micro- and Nanotechnology (DTU Nanotech) is among theleading institutes on applied micro- and nanotechnology. To strengthenour interdisciplinary team on industrial biomimetic water membranes, weare currently seeking a post doctoral fellow or a researcher.
Job description
The main tasks will be:
• Developing prototypes and upscaling production technology forbiomimetic water membranes
• Stabilizing lipid bilayer membranes
• Supervision of students and sparring with PhD-students in the project
Qualifications
Candidates should have a master’s degree in engineering or a similardegree and academic qualifications equivalent to the PhD level.
PhD in engineering, materials science, biotechnology, chemistry orsimilar experience with one or more of the following topics:
• lipid bilayer techniques
• microfabrication/microstructuring of polymers
• (micro)injection moulding
• ability to work independently, to plan and carry out complicatedtasks, and to be a part of a large, dynamical group
• good communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Terms of employment
The position is limited for the duration of 12 months with thepossibility of prolongation.
The salary and appointment terms are negotiated in accordance with thecurrent collective agreement for Danish University faculty members.
