Post-doctoral position in Epigenetics
Location:
Institute of Molecular Genetics, Montpellier, France.
Description:
A 3-year postdoctoral position is available at the Institute of Molecular Genetics in the Mediterranean city of Montpellier (Southern France) from September 2008. The Institute of Molecular Genetics is a multidisciplinary center with competitive international research teams in epigenetics, virology, RNA metabolism and signal transduction.
The successful applicant will join the project led by Dr Michael WEBER in the team of Dr Thierry FORNE, a research team with long interest in understanding epigenetic mechanisms regulating gene expression. We will combine the use of innovative genome-wide technologies (MeDIP-chip, ChIP-chip) with mouse models to understand the role of the epigenome during development and the potential impact of environmental pollutants on epigenetic profiles.

Salary:
Starting salary will vary from €2280 to €2860/month depending on qualifications and prior experience. Starting date is September 2008 (or a few months later if necessary).

We are looking for highly motivated applicants with a PhD in molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry. Experience with microarrays, whole-genome studies or bioinformatics will be highly appreciated.
