Description
The position:
You will join a bioinformatics and biostatistics group in an interdisciplinary research department. Your main responsibility will be to mine a variety of data and knowledge sources in oncology – one of your key research areas – and to consolidate and integrate the results into an in-house database. You will cooperate with scientists in Penzberg and other sites. Publication of the general approach and basic results is expected.
The position is temporary and limited to two years with option to extend by further one to two years.
Who you are:
You have profound knowledge in molecular oncology with a solid background in bioinformatics and a PhD in bioinformatics- or biology-related fields. You are flexible, interested in scientific research and willing to learn. You have experience in detail-oriented work and adjusting to new challenges. Furthermore you have a very good command of spoken and written English.
