Description
The Institute of Psychiatry is a postgraduate medical school associated with the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, and is a School of King’s College London. It has an outstanding international reputation in the field of research and in the most recent HEFCE Research Assessment Exercise was awarded the highest (5*) rating.
We would like to invite applications for the post of Post-Doctoral Research Worker in the Neurobiology of Mental Health. The post-holder will work on a project with Prof. K. Peter Giese funded by the Medical Research Council to study the function of endogenous CaMKII inhibitor proteins in learning and memory in mice. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Neuroscience or a related discipline. He or she will have experience in molecular biology and biochemistry.
Starting salary in the range £29,138 to £31,840 pa (plus £2,323 pa London Allowance), depending on qualifications and experience.
