One Postdoctoral Position Available
We are now looking for a postdoctoral fellow who wants to study in the area of cellular and molecular mechanisms during the development of inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease). The successful candidate will be involved in studies on physiological functions of key molecules (including Toll-like receptors, tumor necrosis factor receptors and mammalian chitinases) in colonic epithelial cells/microbial interactions.
Candidates need to have MD, PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree with research training in the field of immunology, microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology or pharmacology. Actual starting date will be April or May 2009. An initial appointment will be for 2 years, but the term can be extended depending on the research accomplishment. Salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
