Our research interest is on understanding the importance of the Notch pathway in cardiac tissue homeostasis in the context of myocardial regeneration. This includes the control of cardiomyocyte hypertrophy, the regulation of cardiogenesis in embryonic stem cells and cardiac stem cells, and the modulation of cardiac fibrosis. We use microarrays, genetically engineered mice and pathophysiological models, immunohistology and confocal microscopy, cell culture, and state-of-the-art molecular and cellular biology techniques.

The position is available immediately for a highly motivated individual with a PhD or MD/PhD with strong expertise in molecular and cellular biology. Interest in the molecular basis of cardiac diseases, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently are expected.

Competitive salary is available for two years with possibility of extension to a third year.
