The University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, Department of Microbiology and Immunology has an immediate opening for a Post-Doctoral Associate at our Medical Campus. The individual will work in the laboratory with basic and translational projects related to tumor immuno-suppression and immuno-therapy. The incumbent will participate in research project investigating the relationship between different suppressive cell populations (namely MDSC and Treg) and developing new reagents to impair the suppressive pathways induced by growing tumors. This project involves testing of new reagents, the use of molecular biology and cell biology techniques as well as in vivo studies using mouse cancer models and tolerance induction models. Expertise in molecular and cellular biology as well as the use of in vivo murine models will be essential to the success of the research studies proposed. Occasionally processing of human PBMCs and specimen will be required. In addition, the Post-doctoral Associate will be expected to participate in research conferences, research journal clubs and laboratory meetings with his/her supervisor to go over progress in assigned projects.

Job Requirements: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. A strong background in Molecular and Cellular Immunobiology is beneficial. An appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
