The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Diabetes Research Institute (DRI), is an international center whose mission is to bring together leading scientists worldwide to develop and rapidly apply promising research to treat and cure diabetes. The person in this position will be primarily responsible for the analysis of data generated from islet transplant studies and, under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician, this person may undertake specific medical assistant duties, as requested. All of the duties and responsibilities follow University guidelines.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Minimum qualifications include a Ph.D. or M.D. Prior experience in clinical trials. Fluent (oral/written) English. Clear understanding of secretagogue stimulation testing to assess pancreatic endocrine function. Advanced knowledge of File Maker Pro database, Excel and PowerPoint. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Excellent manual dexterity. Attention to detail and accuracy. Any appropriate combination of education, certifications, and/or relevant work experience will be considered.
