wnt5a and tumor metastasis and breast cancer

Description

Postdoctoral positions are immediately available for an exciting experimental breast cancer project at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Lund University, Sweden. This Lab is situated at the new state-of-the-art Clinical Researh Centre building (www.med.lu.se/crc). The project focuses on the role of Wnt-5a in breast cancer metastasis. Based on previous findings in the lab (Cancer Res., 2005; J. Biol. Chem., 2006 and 2009; Clin Cancer Res., 2008; PNAS, 2009) the signaling and functional role of Wnt-5a in mammary epithelial cell motility and receptor expression and function will be explored. We are looking for a candidate with a background in cell and/or molecular biology who is enthusiastic and has the ability to work in a highly motivated and supportive research team. Previous knowledge and experience in animal tumor models would be particularly appreciated.
