Deparment of Gene Function & Expression

*The project aims to unravel the mechanisms of long-range gene regulation through analysis of looping between genes and enhancers using 3C, 5C and Hi-C technologies (see Dekker et al. (2003) Science, 295, 1306-1311; Dostie et al. (2006) Genome Research, 16(10): 1299-1309; Liberman-Aiden et al. (2009) Science, 326: 289-293).

Qualifications
-A strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry is required.
-Affinity for genomics and bioinformatics is desirable.
-Experience with 3D-imaging of sub-nuclear structure is desirable.
-Excellent communication skills and an ability to work with lab and staff informatics personnel in a collaborative environment are a must.
-PhD required.
