Description:
A postdoctoral position is available immediately in the Yamada laboratory (Department of Biomedical Engineering), studying the mechano-regulation of cell-extracellular and cell-cell adhesion. The goal of this study is to identify the molecules involved in mechano-sensing and force-generation of normal and cancerous epithelial cells. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in a related field with focus on the cytoskeletons and/or cell migration/adhesion, experience in cell and molecular biology, protein biochemistry, live cell imaging, or microfabrication, and a strong publication record. Excellent written and oral communication skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment are required. This position is renewable based on performance and funding.
