Postdoctoral opportunity in systems biology of NF-kappaB at NIH, Bethesda
A postdoctoral position is available contingent upon final approval at the Laboratory of Receptor Biology and Gene Expression, National Cancer Institute, NIH, Bethesda, for studying NF-kappaB dynamics by quantitative microscopy and mathematical modeling. The successful applicant will work under the supervision of Drs. Myong-Hee Sung and Gordon Hager. We are seeking a highly motivated molecular cell biologist who is interested in pursuing cell signaling research using systems biology approaches. Candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in molecular biology or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry, with experience in stable cell line generation, fluorescence microscopy, and knowledge or interest in mathematical modeling of cell signaling. Familiarity with current literature in NF-kappaB and other signaling systems would be desirable.
