Description
A post-doctoral scholar position (Ph.D.) in bacterial pathogenesis isavailable for studying Chlamydia, the most commonly reported cause ofinfectious disease in the U.S. Ongoing studies involve the use ofmolecular, biochemical, genetic and bioinformatics approaches tounderstand mechanisms of gene regulation. Additional studies includehost-pathogen interactions and novel treatment strategies targeting theintracellular form of chlamydiae. Experience in transcriptionalregulation and/or protein purification would be an advantage. Salarycommensurate with experience.
