ARL is a dynamic contract research laboratory providing high quality analytical work and problem solving to the pharmacy/pharmaceutical industry. This commitment is supported by the implementation of ISO 17025:2005 laboratory accreditation, and FDA as well as DEA registrations. ARL services routinely include assay for pharmaceutical ingredients, stability studies, and full compendial testing. ARL is well equipped with state of the art instrumentation, including High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), HPLC-Tandem Mass Spectrometry (HPLC/MS/MS), Gas Chromatography (GC), Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), high resolution Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Ion Chromatography and Environmental Chambers. The Microbiology laboratory provides full US Pharmacopeia (USP) compendial testing for medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

Analytical Research Laboratories has a Post Doc/Pharmaceutical Scientist position available in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As part of our leadership team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented and dedicated colleagues while developing and expanding your career. The focus of this position is to provide scientific analytical support, research, and leadership (bridge) to the Scientific Director, clients, and laboratories. Method development, validation, and documentation are required in addition to the provision of accurate and timely analytical results. Some of the analytical techniques used include HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and wet chemistry.

Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
• MS or PhD with 2+ years of experience Analytical Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Chemistry
Required Experience and Skills:
• Broad understanding of drugs and analytical chemistry is essential
• Demonstrated leadership skills, verbal and written communication
• Good understanding of ICH, FDA and USP guidelines is important
• Skilled in HPLC, LC-MS, GC, GC-MS, FT-IR, UV-VIS, KF, dissolution
• Ability to work successfully in both a team/matrix environment as well as independently is required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage priorities, and maintain timelines for multiple activities is required
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical assistance/support to Scientific Director, clients regarding analytical testing, and special projects.
• Management of client projects including stability, compatibility and formulation studies.
• Participate in weekly meetings with scientific and business development personnel to discuss technical and operational issues including routine sample and project testing/results, SOPs and client relations.
• Assist laboratory personnel in daily laboratory activities to maintain high scientific quality, compliance with SOPs and cGMP protocols and safety standards.
• Assist business development personnel in developing quotes for clients by providing information on feasibility, necessary personnel and supplies and time required for test/project completion.
