Description:
The faculty mentor for this position will be Dr.POLLY A HOFMANN. A postdoctoral position in the Department of Physiology, University of Tennessee Health Science Center Memphis is available to study the role of protein phosphatase 2a in myocardial ischemia and reperfusion. Candidates should be highly motivated and have demonstrated previous experience with co-immunoprecipitation, signal transduction, and molecular techniques. The department is ranked 4th among its peers based on extramural funding and offers an outstanding training environment. Applicants should have an MD or Ph.D. in a biomedical discipline, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills with first authored publications in quality journals. Competitive salary with benefits is provided.
Qualifications: M.D. or Ph.D. in a biomedical discipline
Salary will be commensurate with relevant experience and based on the prevailing wage for postdoctoral fellows set by the state of Tennessee Department of Labor.
