Description:

Postdoctoral positions are available in the Viral Recombination Section of the HIV Drug Resistance Program, National Cancer Institute, to study retroviral replication using human immunodeficiency viruses and other retroviruses. Specifically, we are interested in the mechanisms of specific RNA packaging, virus assembly, reverse transcription, recombination, and HIV pathogenesis. We use molecular tools and bioimaging approaches to dissect various aspects of viral replication and apply these findings to the understanding of replication mechanisms and viral pathogenesis. Interested candidates must possess
——a Ph.D. and/or an M.D. A strong background in molecular biology, virology, or cell biology is preferred.
