Description:

The successful candidate will have recently completed their Ph.D. in a basic science discipline and be familiar with Molecular Biology and Biochemistry techniques and have general knowledge of cancer biology and interest in cancer drug discovery. The candidate will participate in novel research to characterize the mechanism of action of novel anti-cancer epigenetic compounds. Experience in transcriptional regulation and epigenetics preferred. Experience with chromatin immunoprecipitation assays, gene knock downs and/or siRNA screens a plus. Must have excellent oral and written English communication skills and be able to work as part of a team in a semi-independent fashion, making a 2-3 year commitment minimally. The Martinez laboratory works in close connection with the Mangelsdorf laboratory and the Minna laboratory on campus. Send CV/biosketch and references.
