Position:

a post-doctoral position in molecular dynamic of synaptic receptors

Job Description:

A research position, at post-doctoral or research assistant level, is available to work on a 2-year project on the molecular dynamic of synaptic receptors. The project will be focused on the regulation of receptor accumulation in the framework of synaptic homeostasis and pharmacological regulation of receptor number at synapses. The goal is to gain access to molecular dynamic imaging in brain slices and then in vivo. The project will benefit from all the platforms of the department of biology at the Ecole Normale Supérieure and from interactions with the department of Physics.

The project will involve standard molecular and cellular techniques as well as several up to date in molecular imaging: single molecule imaging, quantum dot single particle tracking, multiphoton microscopy FRAP, FRET, Uncaging … The Postdoctoral candidate will have a solid background in synaptic biology, knowledge in imaging technologies, be enthusiastic, autonomous, and dedicated.
