Komurov lab focuses on computational systems biology. Our main goal is to understand dynamic organizational principles in intracellular molecular networks and their specific alterations that contribute to disease phenotypes. To this end, we develop and use advanced computational methodology to aid in biological network exploration and analyses within the context of data from large-scale genomics (functional and structural) and proteomics experiments. The position entails research on development of network models and computational methods to efficiently integrate multiple genomics datasets to query the network regulatory structure underlying the studied phenotype. Prior experience in R or Matlab is a must, knowledge of the Java programming language is not required, but is a plus. We are interested in candidates with backgrounds in quantitative sciences who are looking to transition into biology, or those with a background in biology with a strong interest and expertise in computational analyses.
