Description

A full time, 1 year, post doctoral position is available in the laboratories in the Department of Research and Development at Cytyc Corporation in Marlborough, MA located outside of the Boston metropolitan area. This individual will lead the multiphysical computational analysis of a number of technologies for the thermal ablation of tissue and will be involved in the in vitro and in vivo experimental evaluation of these devices.

This position is a great opportunity for those interested in bridging the gap between academic and commercial medical device research and development. This individual will be a part of a growing team of engineers who are dedicated to the design and development of devices to treat a variety of diseases that impact the health of women.

Qualifications: An earned doctoral degree in mechanical, chemical or biomedical engineering or related scientific discipline is required. Applicants cannot have received the most recent degree more than five years prior to the date of application and must complete all degree requirements before starting their appointment. The candidate should have strong skills and interest in one or more of the following areas: heat transfer, biomedical transport phenomenon, computational heat transfer, experimental methods and biomedical engineering.
