Postdoctoral position / Research Associate
MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Associate post funded by the MRC to work in the group of Dr. Robert Hindges in the MRC Centre for Developmental Neurobiology. The project investigates the establishment of axonal connections during development, working on the mouse and chick visual system as a model. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated team using state-of-the-art techniques to investigate the role of a newly identified molecule in the axon projection from the eye to the different brain centres.

Applicants must be highly motivated in research and hold a PhD or equivalent with strong background in neurodevelopment or related field. Applicants with additional experience in one or more of the following areas will be given top priority: molecular biology, cell biology, mouse ES cell culture, primary neuron cell culture, confocal microscopy.

This is a 3 year fixed term contract.
