A post-doctoral positions in cellular Neurobiology is available immediately in the Laboratory of Molecular Neurobiology and Neuroproteomics at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. Work in our laboratory is focused on understanding the role of protein aggregation, more specifically amyloid fibril formation, in the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and related disorders in vitro, cell cultures and animal models. We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work as members of an interdisciplinary group working at the interface of chemistry and biology. Several projects in our group involve collaborative interactions across multidisciplinary groups in structural biology, molecular biology, proteomics and neurobiology.

The applicant must have a Ph.D. degree in molecular and/or cellular biology or related fields. The candidate must have a strong skills and record of accomplishment in these areas. Experience in molecular/cellular neurobiology is a plus, but not necessary. Good writing and communication skills are important, and the ability to be a team player and interact with several groups is a must.
