Description
A Postdoctoral Research Assistant position is available with the aim of further developing and improving stem-cell based toxicity tests for predicting embryotoxicity and teratogenicity in pharmaceutical drug discovery and development. The project is funded by the UK National Centre for Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3R). The project offers qualified candidates significant opportunities for their further development in important academic and industrial areas.
It is essential that the candidate has a strong practical background in mammalian cell biological techniques and has an excellent understanding of this field. The candidate should preferably also be skilled in the mouse Embryonal Stem-cell Toxicity test that has recently been pre-validated by ECVAM. The candidate will work in a stimulating research environment within a well-equipped Unit, which is a leader in academic drug safety and cancer research and has an excellent track record in collaborations with pharmaceutical companies.
This position is available for three years.
