Job Description
Post-doctoral fellow/research associate position is available to work onthe projects dedicated to understand the mechanism of the development ofdiabetic retinopathy. The primary responsibility will be to pursueresearch projects focused on determining the role of oxidative stressand inflammation in apoptosis of vascular cells using rodent models ofdiabetic retinopathy and vascular cells in culture. The candidate isexpected to participate in research grant preparation, manuscriptwriting and presentation of research results at professional conferences.
Required qualification:
Candidates should have a PhD or MD with preferable research experiencein the use of animal models, Cellular/ Molecular Biology andImmunohistochemical techniques, and knowledge in pharmacology and/orendocrinology. Good communication skills, ability to work independently,demonstrated creativity and high motivation are highly desired.
This position is initially for one year and renewable thereafterdepending on performance.
