Genome-wide identification of target genes
A highly motivated postdoctoral scientist is required for a research project funded by Cancer Research UK. The successful candidate will use a genome-wide approach to identify and investigate novel IRF-1 regulated transcriptional networks important for its tumour suppressor activity. We are a rapidly expanding, dynamic group based within the newly opened multidisciplinary Centre for Biomolecular Sciences.
Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and experience in molecular and cellular biology. Knowledge of microarray technology and bioinformatics or experience in chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) will be an advantage.
Salary will be within the range £25,134 – £25,889 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience (salary can progress to £35,837 per annum, subject to performance). This post is available immediately and will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of three years. Candidates nearing completion of a PhD are also encouraged to apply.
