£25,134 – £32,796 pa
Applications are invited for this post initially for two years with apossibility of extension to carry out research as part of a pre-clinicalprogramme for the development of gene therapy for neurodegenerativestorage diseases due to lysosomal defects (see Cachon-Gonzalez et al.2006 PNAS 103: 19373-78).
The research will involve the evaluation of transduced tissues andstudies of the molecular pathogenesis of glycolipid storage diseases. Weare looking for an enthusiastic scientist with experience inneuro-anatomy and pathology who wishes to develop their skills inmolecular cell pathology and biochemical analysis. Experience of animalresearch would also be an advantage.
