Description
A postdoctoral position is available for a recent Ph.D. graduate withexperience in electrophysiology. We are seeking a highly motivatedindividual to contribute to our studies of the circadian regulation ofintrinsic excitability in the suprachiasmatic nucleus of thehypothalamus. The project involves recording action potentials fromacute SCN slices to study the circadian regulation of excitability. Thelab uses a variety of techniques to understand how circadian time isencoded in the brain and conferred to behavioral outputs, includingmolecular biology, transgenics, electrophysiology, and behavioral assays.
Requirements: Applicants must possess a Ph.D. degree in a relevant fieldand significant experience with neuronal recordings.
