Description
The objective of the project is to identify with micro-arrays the entireset of genes differentially expressed at the cell population level,between healthy animals and those expressed during the carrier state ofS. Enteritidis in susceptible and resistant inbred chicken lines. Themain objective of the research associate will be to build the networksof response in susceptible and resistant chickens. All experiences havebeen already performed (animal infection and RNA extraction).
Genes suspected to be responsible for the resistance of chickens will bevalidated by real time PCR with the inbred chicken lines.
The research associate should come from a foreign country, have a PhDand at least one post-doctoral experience. He should have skills inbioinformatics especially in eukaryotes. Special consideration will begiven to candidates with experience in micro array analysis andclustering. Experience in immunology, or host-pathogen interaction willalso be appreciated.
