A NIBR post doctoral fellowship position is available in the department of Development and Molecular Pathways (DMP). We are looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join a dynamic research group and to lead an independent project aimed at characterization of novel modulators of the Wnt signaling pathway.

The fellow will be involved in the identification of novel players in Wnt signaling using various genomic approaches including cDNA and RNAi screens, proteomics, chemical biology. The fellow will also be involved in the validation of selected targets in disease areas such as oncology. The fellow will have opportunities to interact with experts from multidisciplinary teams and have access to cross-departmental state-of-the-art resources. Toward the end of the training period, the fellow is expected to publish his/her findings in peer-reviewed, high-impact journals. This is a unique opportunity for an independent, self-motivated candidate to enhance his/her academic training and professional horizons.

Minimum requirements 

Ph. D. degree and under 3 years of postdoctoral training with strong background in cell biology, molecular biology and biochemistry. Previous experience in the study of signal transduction is highly desirable. The projects involve a broad range of molecular, cellular and biochemical techniques. The candidate is expected to possess strong problem solving and analytical skills, and be capable of independent, creative thinking. Excellent communication and organization skills are required
