Description
Within the “Klinische Forschergruppe” of the JohannesGutenberg-University, Mainz funded by the DeutscheForschungsgemeinschaft we are seeking a postdoctoral scientist to jointhe research group of Prof. Matthias Theobald at the Department ofHematology of the University Medical Center in Utrecht, The Netherlands.Research focus of the laboratory is on targeting malignancies bycytotoxic T cells with particular emphasis on T cell receptor (TCR) genetransfer (see PubMed under Theobald). Our group is evaluating theimmunobiology, safety, and therapeutic efficiency of TCR withspecificities for universal tumor-associated antigens for futureclinical application. Besides in vitro studies, the work will comprisein vivo experiments in a mouse model. Imaging methods like whole bodyimaging and intravital imaging will be implemeted to study the fate ofTCR-modified T cells in vivo.
Highly motivated, team-oriented postdoctoral scientists who like to workin an international environment are encouraged to apply.
The position is available with immediate effect and for at least 3 years.
