Description
The Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Maryland,Baltimore, seeks an outstanding neuroscientist for a tenure-trackfaculty appointment. We encourage applications for positions at theAssistant Professor level but will also consider applications from moresenior investigators. The applicant should have a PhD, postdoctoralexperience, and an active research program. Preference will be given toa neuroscientist interested in genetic or genomic approaches to studyingthe neurobiological response to somatic and visceral tissue injury,including nerve injury. The individual filling this position will alsobe expected to participate in professional and graduate studenteducational programs. The successful applicant will have research spacein a new state-of-the-art facility. In addition, a new animal imagingcenter will be in place in 2008, including a small animal magnet for MR imaging.
