Section of Cancer Genetics
Post Doctoral Training Fellow
The Institute of Cancer Research, a College of the University of London,is at the forefront of international cancer research and, in partnershipwith the Royal Marsden NHS Trust, forms the largest comprehensive cancercentre in Europe. The Section of Cancer Genetics has vacancies formolecular geneticists to work on the identification of germline sequencechanges predisposing to common cancers. Candidates should be fullyconversant with molecular methods pertinent to the localisation andcharacterisation of disease genes. Work will be based in new purposebuilt laboratories in the Cancer Genome Centre in Sutton, Surrey on theedge of London. Facilities for staff members include free car parking, astaff restaurant, an extensive research library, a modern on-site gym,and other sports and social facilities. The starting salary will be in the range £29,256p.a. and £34,993 p.a.inclusive, depending on experience. The posts will be for 2 or 3 yearsin the first instance with potential for renewal thereafter. Thestarting date would be by arrangement.
