A postdoctoral position is available in the Department of Genetics, YaleUniversity School of Medicine, for a highly motivated candidate withsubstantial experience in mouse genetics, genomics and development tostudy the role of gene regulatory change in the evolution of uniquelyhuman traits. We are using mouse transgenic/engineering strategies togain biological insights from our ongoing computational identificationof noncoding sequences rapidly evolving in humans (e.g. Science 314:786and http://info.med.yale.edu/genetics/fac/JamesNoonan.php).
Candidates with both strong computational and experimental skills areespecially encouraged to apply. We strongly encourage applications fromwomen and minority candidates.
