Description
A postdoctoral position in Dendritic Cell and Lymph Node Immunology isavailable at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada. The candidate willhave a recent PhD or MD/PhD in immunology, pathology or cell biology.Previous experience in flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and/ormolecular biology would be an asset.
The research area of our group is the interaction between dendriticcells and other cells of the immune system and the role of thisinteraction in immune responses to organ transplants and tumors. Currentprojects in the group focus on dendritic cell – T cell interactions inthe immune synapse, the role of cytoskeletal molecules in antigenpresentation and the role of fibroblastic reticulum cells in immuneresponses. Our lab is located within the Department of Microbiology andImmunology which provides a supportive environment with several wellfunded and collaborative laboratories studying various aspects of theimmune response.
Halifax, Nova Scotia is the academic and cultural centre of EasternCanada and Dalhousie University is routinely ranked as one of the topinstitutions for postdoctoral fellows outside of the US.
