Salary: £51,219, plus £1,505 London Weighting allowance pro rata per annum
Imperial College is ranked the fifth best university in the world (TimesHigher QS World University Rankings 2007).
Applications are invited for the post of Clinical Research Fellow towork in the Department of Neuropathology within the Division ofNeuroscience and Mental Health based at the Hammersmith Campus, East Acton.
The main purpose of this post is to provide diagnostic support to theUKMSTB, which is of paramount importance for characterisation of cases,their correct classification and support to scientists.
The postholder will be involved in weekly brain cut-ups, diagnosticreports of newly accrued cases and the contribution to brain banking andthe clearing of current backlog of cases. The successful candidate willalso be expected to contribute to the teaching and supervision ofundergraduate and postgraduate students plus the contribution oftraining and supervision of the technical staff.
This new post is funded by the UK Multiple Sclerosis Tissue Bank(UKMSTB) and is available until 31 December 2008 in the first instance.The post is part time, working 28 hours per week.
It is a condition of this post that a satisfactory enhanced disclosureis obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
